Looking Back (Historic) - Tell me what has been happening

  • This involves reporting on an interim basis e.g. 6 monthly
  • It gives you a chance to see what has been happening part way through the year rather than just annually. Reporting can be done against previous year comparatives or budgets where available.

Looking Now (Current) - Tell me what is happening

  • This involves regular reporting say monthly or bi-monthly.
  • This reporting is in a timely fashion and tells you what is happening in your business right now. It therefore gives you the best chance to take action to remedy areas of concern or to change course if required.

Looking Forward (Future) - Help me plan what I want to happen

  • Here we set budgets with you to forecast future profitability and to consider what might happen under various scenarios.
  • We can also look at cash flow forecasts within this area to help you plan your financing requirements.

Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)

  • These are the dashboard instruments of your business.
    We can help you establish your KPI's which enable you to quickly see how your business is going on a regular basis - sometimes even daily!
  • These will provide you with financial and non-financial measures of performance and help you understand how profitability is influenced by certain key activities within your business.
